Eleanor L. Thiedt, 100, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Waterford in West Bend. Eleanor was determined to make it to 100 and celebrated her birthday with her family at her side.
Eleanor was born on February 12, 1917, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late William and Frieda (Weickhardt) Rodemann. On October 28, 1939, she was united in marriage to Howard Thiedt in Milwaukee. Howard preceded Eleanor in death on January 30, 2008.
Those Eleanor leaves behind to cherish her memory include her twin daughters, Diane Helmer and Donna Werginz of Winter Springs, Florida; two grandchildren, Joel (Denise) Werginz of Hudson, Florida and Kellie (Ray) Connell of Chuluota, Florida; two great grandchildren, Jonathan and Tiffany Connell, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Philip T. Werginz and Robert C. Helmer.
Funeral services for Eleanor will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend. A private entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
