Harriet A. Krueger (nee Luft), 90, of Lomira, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017.

Harriet was born August 15, 1926, in Lomira, the daughter of August and Hattie Luft.  She married Roy H. Krueger of Suring on February 14, 1953 at Salem Church in Lomira. 

Harriet worked at Damrow Brothers Dairy Equipment Company of Fond du Lac for over 50 years, as a secretary, receptionist and purchasing agent.   She enjoyed golfing and crafts, and taught craft classes through the local tech school.    In retirement, Harriet and Roy enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with their grandsons.   She was a lifelong member of Trinity (Salem) United Methodist Church, volunteering for many Church and Sunday School activities.    Primarily a lifelong resident of Lomira, since 2009 she has resided at the Inver Glen Assisted Living facility in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

Survivors include her son, Gary (Cindy) Krueger of Eagan, Minnesota; three grandsons, Brian of Minneapolis, Scottie (fiancée Carissa Vinck) of Eau Claire, and Eric (Justine) of Minneapolis.   In addition she is survived by a brother-in-law, Allen of Rhinelander; two sisters-in-law, Rose Hein of Suring and Pauline (Howard) King of Marinette; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; three bothers-in-law, Walter Hein, Gerald Whiting and Robert Ruelle; three sisters-in-law, Lenore Krueger, Shirley Ruelle and Betty Whiting, and a nephew, Perry Whiting.

A funeral service in remembrance of Harriet will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 300 Church St., Lomira.   The Rev. Roger Clapp will officiate and burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorials can be provided to the Alzheimer’s’ Association.
