Marcella (Umlauft) Oehler

Marcella Oehler, 94, of Kewaskum passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.  Last Rites were given to Marcella on June 10, 2015, by Father Edwin Kornath.

She was born on September 06, 1921, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna (Pueschner) Umlauft and on December 30, 1940, she was united in marriage to Orval Oehler at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester, Wisconsin.  Orval preceded Marcella in death on July 2, 2015.

Marcella enjoyed cooking, tending to her garden and sewing.  She was the family seamstress, sewing everything from clothes to teddy bears and even all her daughter's wedding dresses.  Marcella's greatest joys were rummaging and sharing her sense of humor with those around her.

Those Marcella leaves behind to cherish her memory include five children, Ronald Oehler of Burnsville, Minnesota, LaVern Oehler of Jackson, Judith (Thomas) Kescenovitz of Fond du Lac, Patricia (Dale) Ellie of Markesan and Kathleen (Jerry) Mislang of Menomonee Falls; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marcella was preceded in death by a grandson, David Kescenovitz, three sisters and three brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marcella will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum 331 Main St. Kewaskum WI 53040.

Marcella’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Father Edwin Kornath will officiate and entombment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
