Welcome to the memorial page for

Margaret "Peggy" Ruth (Wink) Stoffel

May 12, 1929 ~ August 11, 2015 (age 86) 86 Years Old

Margaret R. “Peggy” Stoffel (nee Wink), 86, of Kewaskum, entered Eternal Life on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Kathy Hospice in the Town of Polk, with her loving family at her side.

Peggy was born on May 12, 1929, in South Milwaukee, the daughter of the late John and Elsie (Hoernke) Wink.  At a young age Peggy and her family moved to Kewaskum where she attended high school and graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1946.  While living in Kewaskum she grew in love with the city as well as a young man named Alan Stoffel. On May 30, 1951, she was united in marriage to Alan Stoffel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.

Peggy worked in her younger years at Kewaskum Mutual Insurance Company and after starting a family with Alan became a stay at home mother as well as a farmer’s wife.  Raising all eight children was a full time job but yet Peggy still found time to sew and knit all her children’s clothes.  She loved to bake fresh bread and would bake up to three loaves a day.  Peggy also enjoyed gardening, quilting, music and being with her family and friends.  After all eight children reached adulthood Peggy and Alan enjoyed the freedom of travel, especially their winters spent in Clermont, Florida.  There they could socialize with many friends both old and new.

Peggy was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum where she was an organist for 26 years from 1978 until 2004.  She was also a member of the Homemakers Club, Study Club, the Holy Trinity Christian Mothers and an active member of St. Faustina Parish in Clermont Florida.

Those Peggy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband Alan, of 64 years; seven children, Michael (Genny) Stoffel of Madison, Neal (Denise) Stoffel of Ashford, Paul (Joanne) Stoffel of Madison, Philip (Janis) Stoffel of Kewaskum, Therese (Dale) Schloemer of West Bend, Chris (Lisa) Stoffel of Kewaskum and Sara Konkel of Clinton; a daughter-in-law, Joan Stoffel of Kewaskum; 23 grandchildren, Scott, Jenny (Jason), Peter, Miles, Rebecca (John), Jacob (Sarah), Owen (Meg), Angela (Tim), Jonathan (fiancé Clara), Ryan, Andrea (Kai-Biu), Laura, Stephen, James, Brenda (Jason), Brian (Theresa), Brittany (Jeremiah), Bridget (James), Patricia (Paul), Catherine (Amber), Rachell, Heather and Derek; 18 great-grandchildren, Ella, Easton, Zachary, McKenzie, Elijah, Jackson, Cole, Lyla Rose, Julian, Jaden, Emma, Claire, Sydney, April, Milo, Payton, Callie, and Charles; a sister, Evelyn (Gunther) Bruckner of Cedarburg; a brother-in-law, Gerald Stoffel of Kewaskum; three sisters-in-law, Beverly Wink of South Milwaukee, Dolores DuPont of Tennessee and Harriet Stellpflug of New Holstein, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Stoffel; a great-grandson, Isaiah Van Beek; a brother, James Wink; two sisters-in-law, Martha “Marty” Stoffel and Ruth Stoffel; a step-mother, Alice Wink and two brothers-in-law, Robert DuPont and John Stellpflug.

A Memorial Mass for Peggy will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum with Rev. Edwin Kornath officiating.

Peggy's family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.

The Family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the Kewaskum EMT's, Kathy Hospice, Dr. Choudhury at St. Joseph's Hospital and to their father Alan for his years of wonderful care to Peggy.
