Shirley M. (Otto) Stern

Shirley M. Stern (nee Otto), 87, of Kewaskum found peace on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend.

She was born September 19, 1928 to the late Timotheus and Frieda (nee Schmidt) Otto in West Bend. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1946. She worked for the local electric company. On February 28, 1953 she was united in marriage to Harold “Schnookie” Stern in West Bend. She raised her 2 sons. In 1967 she went to work at the Regal Ware until she retired in 1988. Shirley enjoyed playing sheepshead, Yahtzee and doing word seek puzzles. She liked listening to polka music. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son Tom Stern; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son Michael; brother, Harvey Otto; sister, Betty (Robert) Marialke.

A funeral service in remembrance of Shirley will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Home, 215 Forest Ave., Kewaskum. Burial to follow at St. Lucas Memorial Park.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
