Margaret H. “Maggie” Schladweiler, age 87, of rural Kewaskum, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.

She was born on May 2, 1919 in Port Washington, the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Meyer) Dahm, and on May 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to Jerome P. Schladweiler in Dacada. Her husband preceded her in death on April 12, 1998.

Margaret was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels.

Survivors include seven children, Harold (Kaye) Schladweiler of Kewaskum, Helen (Floyd) Kertscher of Armstrong, Carol (Jerry) Vetter, Jerome (Anita) Schladweiler, Jr. and Mary (Timothy “Butch”) Vrana all of Kewaskum, JoAnne (Greg) Arndt of Random Lake and Joyce (Gary) Nelson of Plymouth; a brother, Michael (Shirley) Dahm of Cascade; a sister-in-law, Theresa Dahm of Port Washington; 17 grandchildren, Cheryl Phillips, Tim (Tammy) Schladweiler, Jerry (Dawn) Vetter, Brenda (Dennis) Miller, Jeff, Josh and Jodi Schladweiler, Jason (Cassie), Kelly and Nathan Arndt, Dan Vrana, Sue (Dave) Ruhland, Billy and Doug (Sandy) Vrana, Jeremy (Sarah), Chris and Brian (Meg) Lawrenz; seven step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Dahm; a sister, Eleanor Oreskovich; four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, Raymond (Alma) Schladweiler, Alphonse (Ruth) Schladweiler, Gregory Schladweiler, Norbert (Tillie) Mueller and Julia Dahm.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8877 Forestview Road, Kewaskum (St. Michaels). Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends called at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
