Maxim F. Vetter, 16, of Beechwood, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013, at his home.

He was born on February 7, 1997, in Kazakhstan, Russia. He was brought home and welcomed into our family in July 2000. Maxim was a junior at Kewaskum High School and was active in football, wrestling, baseball and trapshooting. He will be remembered as one who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and will be deeply missed by his family and by all who knew him.

Those Maxim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his parents, Rick and Brenda Vetter; a brother, Ethan Vetter at home; a sister, Nicole Vetter (Hans Christianson) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Harriet Michaels of the town of Scott; his aunts and uncles, Charleen Barutha of Kewaskum, Yvonne (David) Wietor of West Bend, Debbie (Jim) Klug of Cedarburg, Lynn (Jim) Liermann of the town of Scott,

Lori (Jerry) Newhauser of Kewaskum, Roger (Elaine) Vetter, James Vetter and Terrance (Patricia) Vetter all of Beechwood and Bruce (Pat) Michaels of the town of Mitchell, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Maxim was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ruben and Veila Vetter and his maternal grandfather, Francis Michaels.

Funeral services for Maxim were held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in New Fane. Rev. Mark Eckert officiated and cremation followed the traditional service.

The Vetter family greeted relatives and friends at the fellowship hall on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin were preferred.

The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Maxim's arrangements.
