Richard Kreif

Richard O. Kreif, 80, of West Bend, peacefully entered eternal life on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Virginia Highlands Care and Rehab Center in Germantown.

Richard was born on May 28, 1943.  He was united in marriage to Marian (nee Schairer) on January 30, 1965.  Richard and Marian recently celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Richard worked throughout his life in several roles, but his favorite and longest was a cross-country truck driver.  This was his passion and fulfilled him.  His favorite routes to run were between Wisconsin and the northeastern portion of the United States.  Trucking stories are what he shared with anyone willing to listen. He was a member of several churches throughout his life, including most recently, West Bend Community Church.

Richard leaves behind an immediate family of strong women, his wife Marian and daughters Rita Hupfer, Wisconsin;  Esther (Patrick Popowitz) Kreif, Texas; and Amy (Joseph) Grogg, Texas.  He is further survived by grandchildren and other family and friends.

There are no events planned, as he did not wish to have services.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Virginia Highlands Care and Rehab Center, Moments Hospice, and West Bend Community Church for the care and support provided to Richard.
