Dear Bonnie - My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Every time I come back to Wisconsin I drive past my dad's old farm and then down the road past your family farm. I have thought about you over the years. We went to Longfellow grade school together. I knew you married and had a family and was so happy for you. Carl sounded like a wonderful man. I'm sure he will be missed so deeply by you and all who knew him.

Bonnie and Family,

I was sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I just learned of it last Thursday. In fact, at our Friendship Club meeting Wednesday evening Karen Erdmann mentioned helping at a funeral that day but didn't say whose it was. I think the last time I saw you was at Bob Hintz's funeral. It was so good that evening to see so many old friends. You two were such a special couple, always positive and smiling. May the Lord give you comfort during this time.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am going to miss seeing you both, I have very fond memories of our visits. All the fun. Carl was one of a kind like his dad. Sorry I was unable to attend the service I would of like to come.
Thinking of you and keeping you and your family in my prays.

Bonnie - Glad I got to visit a bit with you and Carl at our reunion. Sorry I couldn't extend my sympathy in person as I had another commitment but will be thinking of you today in your time of sorrow..

I grew up on a farm next to Carl's parents' farm just outside of New Fane. For a few years I helped his dad with the milking chores when Carl would go on vacation for a week in the summer. Happiness and friendliness just seemed to shine forth from Carl. Seeing him always brought a smile to my face. It was great seeing him and Bonnie at the Columbian this summer when my wife and I were there for a fish fry.
My condolences to Bonnie and all of Carl's family.

Great men live long in memories. Mr. Meyer (Hawks dad) will be remembered well. I enjoyed our last conversation at Nicks graduation. It is with a heavy heart that I send sympathy to the family.
