Charles H. "Charlie" Garbisch, 79, of the town of Scott, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at St. Joseph's Hospital in the town of Polk.
He was born on May 16, 1935, in the town of Scott, the son of the late Raymond and Malinda (Oppermann) Garbisch, and on May 4, 1957, he was united in marriage to Beverly Kumrow at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Beverly preceded Charlie in death on January 10, 2009.
Charlie was a lifetime farmer. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed snowmobiling as one of the original members of the New Fane Kettle Riders. Charlie was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott.
Those Charlie leaves behind to cherish his memory include five children, Todd Garbisch of Kewaskum, Terry (Kim) Garbisch of Campbellsport, David (Jean) Garbisch of Random Lake, Doreen (Curtis) Frederick of Belgium and Darcie (David) Eggert of Random Lake; 13 grandchildren, Jenny (Dillon) Glamann, Dana (Keith) Schmidt, Nick (Kate) Garbisch, Eric Garbisch (fiance, Ashly Donahue), Andrew Garbisch, Kayla (Ryan) Hesprich, Michael Thiele, Mitchel (Samantha) Thiele, Deanna Frederick, Troy Eggert, Travis Eggert, Trevor Eggert and Tara Eggert; six great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Ethan, Haylie, Lydia, Evan and Teagan; three sisters, Janet (Ike) Kumrow of the town of Scott, Joan (John) Schlicht of Fond du Lac and Joy (Gary) Neuenfeld of Random Lake, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Charlie will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Rev. Kurt Ziemann will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery on Monday at 10:00 a.m.
The Garbisch family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted with Charlie's arrangements.
