Corinne J. Koepke

August 24, 1933 ~ May 2, 2014 (age 80) 80 Years Old


   Corinne J. Koepke, 80, of Beechwood, stepped into the arms of the Lord Jesus on Friday, May 2, 2014, with her family at her side.

   She was born on August 24, 1933, in the town of Scott, the daughter of the late Elmer and Edna (Klug) Stange and was a 1951 graduate of Kewaskum High School. Following graduation Corinne was  employed by the West Bend Company in West Bend. On May 19, 1956, she was united in marriage to Edward Koepke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott.

   After raising her family, Corinne was employed by the Kewaskum School District for 20 years as a cook at Beechwood School and later was the head cook at Kewaskum Middle School.

   Corinne was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott where she was active in the LWML, the Women's Evening Guild, Altar Guild and sang in the church choir. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Beechwood Nursing Home for many years and at Bethesda Thrift Store in Sheboygan.

   Corinne enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers and traveling with her family and friends. When traveling, Corinne kept a journal about their travels providing many fond memories for her family.

   Those Corinne leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, Edward; three children, Michael (Joy) Koepke of Parker, Colorado, Lori Koepke of Eau Claire and Julie Koepke of Fond du Lac; her granddaughter, Grace Koepke; her twin sister, Cordell (Roger) Strack of Kewaskum; her sister-in-law, Shirley Koepke of Beechwood; two step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

   In addition to her parents, Corinne was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Edward Sr. and Alma Koepke and two brothers-in-law, Roland Koepke and Fred (Nancy) Koepke.

   Funeral services for Corinne were held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Rev. Kurt Ziemann officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.

   The Koepke family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.

   Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Aurora Visiting Nurse Association are appreciated.

   The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Corinne's arrangements.

   Corinne's family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Hancock, Dr. Haid, all the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Sheboygan and to the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Team for their kind and compassionate care provided to Corinne.
