Gail A (Butzke) Kougl

Gail A. Kougl (Butzke), age 53 years, of Campbellsport was called home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Gail was born on November 3, 1964 in West Bend to Glenn and Nila Butzke (Smith).  On October 17, 1981 she was united in marriage to Tim Kougl at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. 

Gail graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1982.  Her biggest passion in life was her grandchildren.  Gail enjoyed watching the flowers in her garden bloom as well as the butterflies and hummingbirds that they attracted.  Gail was a lifelong member at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.  She was seen by many as a very selfless person; always putting others before herself. 

Those Gail leaves behind to cherish her memory include, her husband of 36 years, Tim Kougl; her daughters, Kimberly (Carl) Bacon and their children William and Chloe; Jessica (Bobby) Hernandez and their children Marysa and Hannah; Julie Kougl and her children Damien, Aiden and Malaki; and Kelley Kougl and her children Kailie, Eliana and Anthony.  Gail is further survived by her sisters, Shirley Bokelman and Donna (Mark) Ertel; her brother-in-law, Jay Jaeger and many other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Jaeger.

Funeral Service for Gail will be held at 4pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church – New Fane (N665 Hwy S – Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Pastor Mark Eckert officiating. Burial at the church cemetery will follow the service.

Gail’s family will greet relatives and friends at church on Friday from 1pm until the time of the service.

Gail’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staffs of Aurora in Home Hospice and the Aurora Cancer Center in Grafton for the loving care they provided.
