Mark E. Talkington

Mark E. Talkington, 59, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018.

He was born on January 27, 1959 to Donald and Verla (nee Weeks) Talkington in Alton, Illinois. On October 27, 1990 he was united in marriage to Ramana Hughes in Indiana. He worked for UIC, Inc. in Joliet, Illinois for several years. In 1994 they moved to West Bend where he worked for Pope Scientific in Saukville as a chemist for almost 25 years. Mark was a lifetime member of the West Bend Judo Club where he earned a 7th degree blackbelt in both Judo and Jiujitsu. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewer’s fan. Mark loved woodworking and playing the piano, but his 2nd love was riding his 1985 Harley Davidson. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandson. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 28 years, Ramana Talkington; his mother, Verla Talkington; two children, James (Teresa) Talkington of Sheboygan and Kathryn Talkington of West Bend; his grandson, Logan Talkington; a sister, Patricia (Roy) Carlsgaard; a brother, Sean (Wendi) Talkington; a brother-in-law, Richard Hughes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Talkington and his brother, Michael Allen Talkington.

A funeral service in remembrance of Mark will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:30 until the time of service.
