Roger W. McKenna

   Roger W. McKenna, 83, of Kewaskum, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.

   He was born on December 4, 1929, in Random Lake, the son of the late John and Verna (Kies) McKenna, and on October 31, 1959, he was united in marriage to Audrey Lamb at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. Audrey preceded Roger in death on July 12, 2006.

   Roger served his country in the U. S. Army from 1954-56. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. Roger had a law practice in Kewaskum for nearly 40 years and provided legal services to clients even after retirement.

   Roger was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and a member of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum and the St. Lawrence Seminary Parents Guild in Mt. Calvary.

   Those Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory include four children, Patrick McKenna of West Bend, Michael McKenna of Jackson, Shawn McKenna of Milwaukee and Bridget (Patrick) Foley of Green Bay; a grandson, Matthew McKenna; a sister, Patricia TenPas of Plymouth; a sister-in-law, Ruth (Walter) McKenna of Random Lake, other relatives and friends.

   In addition to his wife and parents, Roger was preceded in death by a son, Brian John McKenna; a brother, Kenneth “Mac” McKenna and a brother-in-law, Clayton TenPas.

   A Mass of Christian Burial for Roger will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street in Kewaskum. Military honor rites by members of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum will follow Mass and burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the parish cemetery.

   The McKenna family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or St. Lawrence Seminary are appreciated.

   The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted with Roger’s arrangements.

   The McKenna family extends their heartfelt appreciation to members of the Kewaskum Rescue Squad and the ICU staff at the VA hospital for the excellent care provided to Roger.
