Stanley Olson Obituary

Stanley W. Olson, 85, of West Bend found peace on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at home with his family by his side.

He was born on August 16, 1933 to the late Edwin and Zelma (nee Keeler) Olson in Greenfield WI. He graduated from Port Washington high School in 1952. After high school Stanley got drafted into the military and became a truck driver in the Korean War from 1953 until 1955 for the 533rd Trans Co. He was awarded the National Defense service medal Army of Occupation Medal (Germany). On October 18, 1958 he was united in marriage to Jacqueline Ann Koch, the love of his life, at 5th Ave. United Methodist Church in West Bend.

Stanley worked as a teamster truck driver his entire life for the United Parcel Service, West Bend Transit, and Yellow Truck Lines until he retired. After retirement, Stanley spent his summers up in Eagle River, WI at the Anzalone Resort on Carpenter Lake. He enjoyed maintaining the resort and spending time on the lake fishing, which he enjoyed the most. He also enjoyed fixing odds and ends around the house and at the rental property as well as helping out his five boys anyway he could. Family was the most important thing to Stanley, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Those Stanley leaves behind to cherish his memory include his five children, Chris (Lisa) Olson of Fond du Lac, Bob (Cheryl) Olson of West Bend, Eric Olson of West Bend, Mark (Julie) Olson of West Bend, and Jim (Kimmy) Olson of Kewaskum; twelve grandchildren, Keaton (Rhiannon) Olson, Jenna (John Vissers) Olson, Travis (Kelsey Hamachek) Olson, Justin (Abby) Olson, Cody (Sara) Olson, Dustin Olson, Evan Olson, Quintin Olson, Adam Olson, Avery Olson, Olivia Olson, and Tanner Bowen; four great-grandchildren, Kayden Olson, Ella Olson, Mia Olson, and  Lucia Olson; a sister, Pamela Soderlund; many nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Olson and his sister, Sally (Ray) Kirmse; and a brother-in-law, Dave Soderlund.
