Carl Walter

Carl Walter, age 65, of Milwaukee, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa with his wife by his side. 

He was born on June 17, 1954 in Milwaukee to the late Carl and Virginia (nee Rozdzialowski) Walter.  Carl and his future wife, Nancy Kropidlowski, graduated Washington High School together in 1972.  They were married shortly after on March 23, 1973.  Carl was a professional photographer and was fortunate enough to be able to spend his career pursuing his greatest passion in life of capturing memories.  He was an avid story teller and had a way of drawing you in and leave you wanting more.  He loved being with people and making them laugh.  He was a caring and selfless man who was always willing to help anyone in need.  Carl loved nature and enjoyed any opportunity to be outdoors.  More than anything, Carl loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren who were everything to him.

Carl is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children, Michelle Walter, Brian Walter, and Angela (Micah) Monk; two grandchildren, Moriah and Jayden Monk; three sisters, Diane (Bobby) Przybyszewski, Sharon Knutson, and Shirley Dresen; a sister-in-law, Diane Brown; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Judy) Kropidlowski and Randy Kropidlowski; and many other nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Blaser; a sister-in-law, Mary Kropidlowski, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Knutson.

A memorial service in honor of Carl will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 7:00 pm, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St. West Bend, WI 53095).  The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm.
