Eugene H. Reimer

Eugene Hilbert Reimer, “Bubby,” 78, of Fredonia passed away at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend on September 10, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 18, 1944, the son of the late Edwin and Gertrude (nee Yearling) Reimer.

He attended grade school in Little Kohler. He worked at numerous places throughout his life, most recently and notably at Gilson Foundry in Fredonia for 18 years, and Mid-City Foundry in Grafton for 15 years. His hobbies included welding, woodworking, making and painting lawn ornaments. He also enjoyed working outside in his garage. He had a strong fondness for everything Chevrolet. He loved polka music, and had a large collection of hats. Eugene enjoyed spending his free time with his beloved family.

Those Eugene leaves behind to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Lucille (Warren) Gerner of Port Washington and Mary Neumann of Fredonia; his nieces and nephew; his great-nieces and great-nephews; his great-great niece; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

VISITATION: Eugene’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St. West Bend) on Thursday, September 15 from 3:30pm until 6:00pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Services for Eugene will be held at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend at 6:00pm.

BURIAL: A graveside service will be held for Eugene on Friday, September 16 at St. Martin’s Union Cemetery in Fillmore at 10:00am.
