Gwendolyn "Gwen Christianson Obituary

Gwendolyn “Gwen” A. Christianson (nee Swanberg), 85, of Brownsville, WI, passed away on Friday, October 8th, 2021, with her family at her side.

Gwen was born the daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth (nee Bostrom) Swanberg on November 13, 1935, at Silver Cross Hospital, in Joliet, IL. She was married to Clifford Christianson on October 16, 1954, and had 4 children.

Gwen was a homemaker and the Best Mom EVER. She worked at Sears in Beloit, WI, and Kohls in Menomonee Falls, WI. Gwen most loved spending time with and doing anything for, her family. She also loved playing "Hand & Foot", and "500". Before the passing of her husband in 2016, they spent time traveling the states in their motorhome. They also both enjoyed Genealogy and researching family history.

Gwen is survived by her four children, Judy (Steve) Rosenberg - Wisconsin Dells, Jim Christianson - Brownsville, Tom Christianson - Cedarburg, and Jean (Perry) Wunder – Hartford; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Jody) Rosenberg - West Bend, Amy Hamilton - West Bend, Eric (Sarah) Wunder - Sussex, Brian Wunder - Milwaukee, Travis Christianson - Cedarburg, Justin Christianson - Grafton, Michael (Libby) Christianson - Kewaskum, and Michelle Christianson – Oconomowoc; eleven great-grandchildren, Samantha Solis - West Bend, Sierra Disler - TX, McKenzie Albrent - West Bend, Jackson Hamilton - West Bend, Adeline Hamilton - West Bend, Boston Rosenberg - West Bend, Harvey Wunder, Sussex, Rose Wunder - Sussex, Grace Wunder - Sussex, Aubree Christianson - Kewaskum, and Teagan Christianson - Kewaskum. She is also survived by her brother and sisters, Lorraine Gardner - Claremont, CA, Helen Warning - Mokena, IL, Geraldine Bunte - Frankfort, IL, Ralph (Sheila) Swanberg - Mokena, IL. Also mourning our loss are brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernice Pecore - Bloomer, WI, Shirley (Jack) Ellingboe - Hudson, WI, Byron (Ginny) Christianson - Colfax, WI, Shirley Christianson - Colfax, WI, Lorraine “Snooky” Swanberg - Fowler, IN; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; grandson, Scott Rosenberg; parents, Andrew & Ruth Swanberg; siblings, Harold (Myrtle) Swanberg, Charles (Gladys) Swanberg, Fremont "Bud" Warning, Jack Gardner, Clay Pecore, Robert Christianson, Gladys Swanberg, Marian (Jack) Nordsell, Randall Bunte, Delores Swanberg, and George Swanberg.

A Funeral Services in remembrance of Gwen and Cliff will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, which would have been Their 67th Wedding Anniversary, at 12:00 pm at North Running Valley Lutheran Church, 14714 Cty Rd. A, Colfax, WI.
