Paul Schultz Obituary

Paul Arnold Schultz, 93, of Port Washington, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born on August 26, 1928, to the late Arnold and Elizabeth (nee Geissler) Schultz in Milwaukee.  He fell in love with Carol Crass at a community picnic.  They were united in marriage on January 8, 1949.  Together they raised four children.

Paul was a machinist at Mercury Marine for 42 years.  He retired in 1991.

Paul loved fishing from childhood. He took special pride in the Muskies he caught on Little Portage Lake in Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin, where they lived from opening of fishing season to well into October. Their first home was in Waubeka, Wisconsin, right across from the Milwaukee River where the family fished and enjoyed water sports.  Paul was Carol’s “row-me-o.”  “Row-me-over here, row-me-over there.”

Paul also enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, golfing, and many a game of cribbage, pinochle, sheepshead or Wahoo.  Chocolate malts from Culver’s were on of Paul’s favorites treats, and he was known for his “sassy smile.”

Those Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory include his children, Bonnie (Jeff) Jacque-Gorecki, James (Bonnie) Schultz, Douglas (Lisa) Schultz, and Guy (Katherine) Schultz; 17 grandchildren, Jason (Emma) Jacque, Jodi Raih, Janelle LeClair, Stephanie (Christopher) Jacoby, Courtney (Jarrod) Gruber, Benjamin(Amanda) Schultz, Angela (Eric) Beyer, Bobbylee (Jason) Twilbeck, William (Nicole Yunk) Schultz, Reed Slaby, Michael (Shelby Helmbrecht) Schultz, Laura (Scott) Tickner, and Jacob (Audra) Schultz; 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, and his wife, Carol; he was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold “Arnie” (Donna) Schultz and Ron (Dolores) Schultz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl (Joyce) Crass, Earl (Laverne) Crass, Lee (Winnie) Crass, and Clyde (Lucille) Crass, and Marcella Crass.
