Dennis L. Rhoades, 71, of Wautoma, entered eternal life on August 22, 2017, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin.
He was born on July 22, 1946, in Green Bay. Dennis was known as a very hard worker and dedicated employee. He worked a variety of jobs from a foundry worker to a chef at Pecks Plantation in Wautoma.
Dennis enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing, cooking, playing cards, and tinkering on many projects. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and the passion he had for his family.
Those Dennis leaves behind to cherish his memory include four children, Heidi (Michael) Murphy of Green Bay, Charlotte (Alan) Schwieger of West Bend, Charles (Tabatha) Rhoades of Racine, and James Rhoades of Oregon; nine grandchildren, Jasmin (Ryan) Tenor, Beau Posey, Isabella, Catie and Audrie Murphy, Collin Russ, Carolynn Sheridan and Jaxon Schwieger, and Kyle Rhoades; four great-grandchildren, Renezmae Rhoades, Rowan, Rosalee, and Jameson Tenor; four sisters, Mary Jane Charlier of Green Bay, Ruby Meyer of Kingsport, TN, Nancy (Carroll) Anderson of Oconomowoc, and Shirley (Armin) Anderson of Milwaukee; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Rhoades; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
A funeral service for Dennis will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2881 Division Rd, in Jackson, with Rev. Paul Mittermaier officiating.
The Rhoades family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nursing staff at ThedaCare in Berlin for the wonderful and compassionate care provided to their father.
