My sympathy to you ,Bill and family. I know there are many smiles in heaven as a new teacher and Girl Scout leader has joined them. More cookies and camping trips. Hold on to all your memories. God 's love and mine. Marion

Gert was a wonderful woman with a zest for life and a deep concern for others. We will truly remember her humor, great interest in all facets of life and her simple "goodness." She is a model to us all. While she will be greatly missed, she had a wonderful life filled with family, friends and adventures. Much to celebrate as well as mourn.

I remember Gert well at Range Line School as well as her children Linda and Kim who I had the pleasure of teaching. Gert was always so optimistic about everything and I am so glad she and Bill got to travel to 36 countries and all 50 states! (That is pretty much my record, too.) I know she will be missed because she contributed nothing but good to all she taught and wherever she went! Godspeed, Gert, and my sincere condolences to you, Bill and Linda and Kim!

Dear Roots Family,
There are no words that can truly capture our admiration for Aunt Gert. She was insightful, thoughtful, loving... We always respected her and how she could offer help and advice in a loving way. At heart, she conveyed her love for people, valued all, and wanted to see those around her succeed.
She will be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our condolence to you and your family. Heaven has been enriched as the Lord welcomed Gert home much as those of us who knew her were enriched. Charlotte and I have fond memories of you and Gert presenting your travel logs to AAL groups.
May the Lord comfort you in your earthly loss.
